The Scottish Football Union and Walking Football Scotland, with the support of Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland, have today launched a major survey into the costs of Walking Football across Scotland and the benefits, social, mental and physical, that the game provides. As well as interacting with all the Walking Football Clubs across the country, we'll also be investigating the prices charged by the private and public sectors.

There are undoubted, quantifiable, benefits for all those who play Walking Football, both women and men. Speaking personally, as someone who has had cardiac problems in the past, I really value the exercise and camaraderie I get from my local club and I know that the social and pscychological benefits are really important to so many people across the country.

I encourage everyone who plays Walking Football in Scotland to take part. The survey is quite short and won't take more than a few minutes to complete. You can access it here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SFUWFScot2025

That major study into the costs and benefits of walking football brings back memories of watching older players keep the game alive at a gentler pace, laughing and competing without the risk of injury, and it's incredible how a modified version of the sport can improve physical and mental health for so many people. The mechanics of slower movement, precise passing, and positioning over pace show that you don't need to be young or fast to enjoy the beautiful game and stay fit. While I was researching a bit more about useful tools to follow news and analysis of sports and digital entertainment, I discovered that https://casperspins1.co.uk/ offers a platform for sports analysis and interactive games with a 50% welcome…
