Following our recent, online meeting with the CEO/MD/Chair of the women's game in Scotland and various fans from clubs across the country, we're delighted to say that two of those who attended that (very productive) session have volunteered to join the SFU's women's team. Let them introduce themselves...

Loran Taylor

My name is Loran Taylor and I first got into women's football, specifically Elgin City FC Women, in March 2025. I knew nothing of the team prior to this or had any connection to the club, but a few people on social media had shared that they had a game at Borough Briggs in the semi final of the League Cup. I went along with my son, purely as something to do on a Sunday afternoon. The ladies sadly lost that day, 1-0 to Cumbernauld Colts. After this I attended sporadically for a couple of months, but from then on I have been a very loyal fan, attending home games which my partner also comes to and enjoys, and also away games when time allows. I also help out within the club for both women's and men's games. I am a season ticket holder for the men's first team and the boardroom hostess on match days. Through the club, my son was asked to be a mascot at a SNWT game at Hampden at the end of May 2025 and we have attended a few other Scotland ladies games since then too.

When I can, I go and watch Moray Girls (u10s-u16s), who have an official pathway with ECFCW. Being a supporter of the team means being part of a great community where I've made some great friendships and opportunities, such as being invited by Chris Foot (one of the club's director) to be a part of the SFU to work with other fans in growing the women's game. I love being a part of the club and supporting the girls and women who give it their all week in week out - which has paid off in-back-to- back promotions and now, in our fourth year of existence, Elgin City Women are heading into the Championship. Exciting times!.

Iain Perham

My name is Iain and I am the secretary for our womens supporters group - Rangers Women's Collective.  I got into the women's game purely by chance.  About four years ago, my wife was looking for something to do and suggested either we go to a B team in Dumbarton or go see the women at Broadwood.  The rest is history.

I live with both General and Social Anxiety and depression.   Not being someone who copes well in crowds and not really talkative, going to the games has been a joy.  Getting to meet the team and speak to the players after the game,  talking to other fans and having a great time has really helped me.

Just like the name suggests we are a collective - people of various ages from 11 years upwards. Everyone is welcome and knows that we bring the noise and love catching up.  We love to get involved: last year we had an after-season party and raised funds for the Rangers Charity Foundation and we're doing the same this year and hope to raise a lot more.

My ideal outcome is to grow our game to the same levels as the WSL.  We have a fantastic product, fantastic teams and passionate supporters.  I want more men to get involved and squash the 'Women can't play' attitude.  I will work with anyone who shares that same vision.   Let's make Scotland a force in the women's game.
